Work and/or Study Abroad Opportunities
Working or Studying Abroad can be a great way to expand your resume, earn money and experience during a gap year, or even complete vital coursework toward your degree and profession. Below is a list of our partners, or recommended agencies and organizations.
Working abroad -
The easiest way for Americans to work abroad is by teaching English. Requirements vary tremendously depending on the nation, with some being very stringent and others more loose. Most will require a high school or college diploma, and many require a TEFL / TESOL / ESL / CELTA / DELTA, etc. certification(s), but even jobs within the same country may have very different requirements. Always make sure to look over qualifications and do research into whether there are additional requirements, such as needing to apply for a visa. Most jobs offering international hiring will be in position to help you with that process.
Don’t forget to also look into whether there are any recommended immunizations/vaccinations prior to traveling to the destination, researching the prevalence and instances of diseases, especially dangerous ones or ones transferrable by parasites, mosquitoes, or other such pests, and whether you should take a booster or shot prior to travel (remember most need up to 2-3 weeks before they are fully effective, so plan ahead).

They’ll take good care of you, and it is always impressive to have or see on a resume.
http://www.tefl.com - this is the premier site and source for finding teaching jobs abroad for teaching English. We highly recommend it (not to mention our founder also personally used this service when he taught in China). If you’re ready for a once in a lifetime experience, where you can travel, explore a new country and culture, broaden your horizons and discover more about yourself, all while getting paid to do it, then doing a stint working abroad is for you! We recommend at least a 1-2 year commitment, but there are other opportunities ranging from 3 months to 9 months as well, depending on the situation.
http://www.daveseslcafe.com - this is another trusted job board for opportunities related to teaching English abroad. It has been around for a very long time and is well-respected as a legitimate job board with legitimate companies and offerings.
